When I sell something on Craigslist I always put Cash Only...I've had the same "interested" folks answer my ad and say what they told you...I answer their return with "Cash Only" and they always slither away.
Something wrong with this transaction?

That's the only sane way to do it these days, I agree.
If someone shows up with a check, it's better to tell them you will hold the sale for one business day while they go to the bank and cash their check.
If they don't come back you haven't lost anything.

I was once asked if they could send a cashiers check ... I was to cash it and give the shipper some of the cash back.
I said yes send it on and gave My Name and the banks address, a few days later the bank called confirming they recieved the check and it was a fake one...the bank automatically put in in the hands of the fraud investigators ... I thought that was too cool !!
