Does your power company have something like mine?
For $3 to $5 a month rent, they will set a pole with a 6000 lumens light and fix or replace any part of it that stops working.
What’s wrong with no yard lighting?

Check out E-conolight.com

Very quality products at a good point.

Warranty response is good also. I have used them for years for commercial projects.

Oops.! I see plowhog mentioned them already.

Thanks. I joined their site so I could get the 10% discount. I'm not sure if they have what I want, but its good to have an option other then Amazon.

I have one yard light. Purchased from and installed by my Co-Op power company. That was back in '82. So I would guess it's fluorescent. It has worked faithfully since its date of installation.

Sometimes I wonder what I would install if/when it ever quits.

Thank you to everyone that offered suggestions on where to buy the lights. After looking at all the lights available, and not really seeing anything that I liked, I decided to go with Lithonia Area Lights that they sell at Lowes. It's a name brand that I've had good luck with, and I just felt more comfortable with them over everything that I saw online.

One of the things that made me nervous about the Ledmo lights was the plug in light sensor on the top. In the three years that I had them, I replaced the light sensor twice. Before the LED Ledmo lights from Amazon, I had Metal Halide lights that also had the plug in light sensors on the top that needed to be replaced a few times in ten or so years.

I already had one of the Lithonia lights on the side of my house and it's performed perfectly for the last couple of years. It has the little built in dusk to dawn sensor that you cannot replace, but seems to work flawlessly.

I bought two of them for my driveway. They only have 6,000 lums, which is a lot less then what I had before, but I really can't tell the difference when looking at the light at night time. It's too early to know if I made the right decision, so for now, it's all good and we're happy with them.

This is the view from my window, looking towards the driveway with the light on. The light is probably 300 feet away from the house.

I'm in the no yard light camp. I have them in spades but I have all of them on a contactor with a switch in my kitchen so I can turn them on when I need them and also have them tied to my camera system. I don't want to light things up for any would be thieves that may happen along. You'd be amazed what you can see in the dark, especially their flashlights.
