This subject has been around TBN a long time. My L5450 had a single speed pto - but it was sold in other parts of the world with 2-speeds. I was able to buy the parts and convert my pto to 2-speeds. Later I bought my present L5450 and converted it the same way, using used gears from a salvaged L4150. The cost was only a few hundred, but there are very few models where something like this is possible.
Shaft-mounted pto speed changers are not easy to build - hollow spline input, concentric reducer gearing, splined output, free floating, they end up being $1000 or more if they are built to last. Hub City Gear has made them forever - Hub City 390 - no idea what they cost these days.
