Nice job, everything you do is so nicely finished, mass produced trailers are usually thrown together so quickly ,it's nice to see the thoughts of the end user get transformed into the final build of the trailer...I sometimes wonder if the people, who designed trailers ever actually used them ,if they did they would build them a little differently.

Thanks. I'm trying to put everything I've seen in other trailers that I like in mine, (plus a few things I've come up with on my own).

Welded on my safety chains.
Nice build!
I would check with the local authorities re welding on the chain. My chains are welded on, legal in 88. Not any more( to be changed this spring before repainting). Now safety chain is bolted or shackled to a tab welded onto the frame. I think the logic is the heat from welding distroyes the load rating of the chain.

Very nice job on the trailer!! I like all the different things that you have built into it.

I would bolt them on too, even if legal to weld. You never know when or if you would need to change one out, then you don't have to worry about messing up paint to do so.

Thanks. It must be legal here to weld on chains, all of the new trailers I looked at were welded on.

Too late for that now.

I'm not sure about the light. I don't want to over do it with lights. It's a tiny single L.E.D. and I think it'll look cool but I don't want it to look like a Christmas tree semi going down the road. I'm still on the fence with this one, what do you guys think?

I think it's perfect. Having a small amount of illumination will help you find the step at night. Might save a twisted knee or banged shin. Plus it will look cool.
