EA is a sponsor of TBN. Messicks is a sponsor. Ken's Hooks is a sponsor. FitRite Hydraulics is a sponsor. And so on. They are following the rules and are site sponsors, which gives them the ability to advertise and link to their own stuff for profit. Their handles are marked "Advertiser" so we know. It's transparent and they are supporting the site.
I am a mod on another site and we frequently see folks posting videos with the sole purpose of promoting their YouTube channel. They do it under the guise of participating and being helpful, but about 99% of the time it's really basic/obvious information and not genuinely beneficial to the forum members. In reality, it is a form of spam because they are using the forum as a path to run advertising which profits them, not the forum. That violates the rules of most forums, by the way, but it's up to the management and moderators to enforce it.
When I see a video where someone is telling people they can shake loose materials out of a tractor bucket to spread them (= duh) and it's got advertisements (= profit), it totally fits the pattern.
I'd love to be proven otherwise. Show me a breakthrough video with original thinking and no ads, then I will be thankful and impressed.
Im not looking for you to be thankful or impressed, Like I said, I didn't promote my channel, didn't ask anyone to subscribe, didn't try to sell anyone anything and the video was helpful for a lot of people. Also thanks for the reminder why I don't post here very much, I posted a video on a tractor forum, of a tractor doing work, and it somehow ticks a couple guys off, the discussion quickly turns from tractor stuff on a tractor forum, into a completely different direction and waste of time.
