Spreading Stone, who else shakes it on?

I'm sure lots of people (in the East for sure) are busy spreading stone trying to stay out of the mud. I get best results using the shake it on method. I uploaded this video this morning and new tractor owners may find it helpful.

I do this many times. I even use it for dirt as well. It does take alittle practice to get use to it. Kinda like tailgating that they do with dump trucks. It saves time as you don't have to go back and forth trying to level out the piles if you just dump each load. Great video Mike !

Great to see you on TBN again Mike... or maybe Melissa (also noticed the new handle!) Another great video. I have watched you in envy as you consistently spread stone so evenly in your videos and the double camera angle really helps to see the technique.
Its awesome how you continually pass on what works for you and others are able to benefit. Thanks!

I do sometimes, like when I just had to sand my driveway. had to use 7/8's crushed gravel though, as that was my only pile that wasn't froze solid.

But normally when I am topping my bushroads I just dump piles with my bucket and use my box blade so that I can shape the road as I go.

Just did 28 tons that way. Puts it down smooth enough that just a little touch up is needed. Nice video

I use that method if I’m putting it down thin. It also works pretty good for dry well broken up dirt. If I’m trying to spread it thicker I dump the bucket full and set the bucket at the level I want and back drag it.

Usually works quite well by the time I finish the project. Too bad I have to climb the learning curve again the next year.

I suspect he makes some money but it’s view/subscriber based. He can’t control the adds. YouTube does that.

I've posted 30 or so you tube videos. None have ads that I am aware of? Maybe I need to check on that.

I once saw a youtube video that explained how people make money from youtube videos. There are probably many more than the one I saw.
I haven't pursued the other ones because I'd rather watch someone remove a broken off stud.

Ads or no ads, profit from video who really cares. Just skip the ad after it plays for a few seconds and be glad someone is tryin to help thier fellow man or woman and is broadcasting something of interest for you.

If you see ads mixed into a video, it means it's a higher volume channel and that's how these folks make their money from Youtube.

I for one wish people wouldn't use TBN to promote Youtube Channels that generate revenue for them. I feel like that crosses a line. At the very least they should have to register on TBN with an advertiser account and make it more transparent.

I absolutely agree. And I stop watching the first time the video stops to play a commercial.

Yup, if the video is well produced, fun to watch and informative, hey more power to ya if you make a buck off it, whatever.

As for the next post below yours, Everything Attachments is on here all the time CLEARLY working it for customers, I don't see anybody here raising an issue about it, so...
