Maybe ask your dealer to 100% confirm that is indeed a case drain line. Agree not sure what else it could be but like you that arrow concerns me.

Yes those motors get warm quick.

It came with 3 lines and is stated in the manual. In fact that's the only quick coupling that was the correct size on my machine.

Those disc mulchers don't seem to make as fine a mulch as a drum mulcher but I believe you are better off in the long run with the disc type and they are bad to the bone on small trees and saplings. How many GPM does your mulcher require?

I always prefer the bush hog on smaller things. Under 12", I don't mind if a few 12" are scattered around. I've never liked a drum mulcher. I knock it down with the bush hog, run over it, pick it up with grapple if they want it clean. Leave it if they don't.

I run a brush cutter with 3 blades on a heavy blade carrier with mulching teeth on the bottom side and cut down trees that are 8+ inches and it does a decent job of shredding and grinding up stuff, but nowhere as fine as a drum mulcher, but I get a lot of jobs where people are wanting something cleared and have been quoted $3 to 5k and I can go in and get it done for $1k or less, they have a little more debris to deal with but they don't seem to mind knowing that it will rot shortly.
