Start engine with PTO engaged

Why not use the clearance tool and ensure all the adjustments are correct . If it's uneven from an improper previous adjustment . The clutch will still be out of adjustment after turning all the adjustments the same distance .
I was answering a different question. ...If the clearance tool fits w/i confined access; use it

Pics from manual

You have the LK which is different from the CK obviously. My manual is pretty good, with step by step instructions for splitting the tractor and then making all adjustments and replacements, complete with halfway decent pictures.

Remember that if the PTO clutch is not releasing you have a tractor like the old non live PTO systems and need to have an overrunning clutch either on the tractor or on the piece of equipment. The old balers and pull combines all had an overrunning clutch and a PTO clutch can be bought to put on the PTO so the equipment will not push the tractor into danger when trying to stop,

The engine can be driven by the inertia of a PTO implement, but the regular clutch will still disconnect the engine from the transmission. So the PTO will not push the tractor when trying to stop.

Well, I wasnt able to test with the Finish Mower as I had the box blade on this weekend. But, I did push the clutch all the way in, then engaged the PTO. I let out the clutch and the PTO was turning. I pushed clutch all the way in, to the floor, and the PTO was still turning. So my next step is try to adjust clutch. If it needs to be split, no way would I feel comfortable doing that. It will go to the dealer.

I have adjusted the 2nd clutch on a Kubot, and other brands probably provide for it similarly.
-- There is access to the adustment bolts thru a "window" cover on the housing as I recall. ... Once you find it, the most
important thing is to mark each bolt and turn each the same amount so the plate is lifted evenly.

I just fully rebuilt my first 2-stage dry clutch this last summer, but it was also on a Kubota. L2550DT. There IS a
window as you describe, to access and adjust the fingers for the PTO clutch. Unfortunately, it was underneath the
FEL subframe, which has to be removed.

In this situation, the road clutch was burnt out, but the PTO clutch was pristine. The PTO clutch can be stuck to
the pressure plate independent of the road clutch. I had a shop set up the new clutches and fingers to spec
in their shop. It cost $600 for the shop part of the rebuild, which was a shock. I did all the splitting and
assembly/reassembly of the tractor myself.

That's the answer to the question I asked earlier in the thread.
I couldn't see a reason that that wasn't possible.

Weird! Exact same tractor w/factory FEL and I did the adjustment with no removal. It was very difficult because I was working with a hurt rt shoulder ... some whimpering - but successful. :dance1:

Note that the $600 was to put new friction material on both friction discs, and re-surface all mating
surfaces, incl the flywheel. Clean and adjust everything to spec.

In the OP's case, I would hope to be able to adjust the PTO clutch thru the window (if provided) and NOT
split the tractor.

There is no mention of the window in the manuals, which are for the CK25/30/35 series. Probably isn't one. Sounds like something is stuck inside. You can try adjusting the pedal stop, but I think it is time for dealer to take over. Even if the problem is simple, the time to split and reassemble the tractor will really cost you. However, I agree that it is not a task to take lightly. I wouldn't do it either, nowhere near enough experience or equipment.
