On the alternator....you should have a 1 and a 2 by the smaller terminals.
Terminal 2 should have 12v. Otherwise it wont charge. (wont energize the alternator). Terminal 1 is the wire that goes to your charge gauge/light.
HOW are you testing it to see if its charging? Are you taking a voltage reading or are you relying on the gauge/light on the tractor?
