I hope they do open and make it right with their customers. But a lot of damage has been done in a week because of no communication. A simple message on the voicemail or a note on the website explaining they would be closed would have kept a lot of the damage to a minimum.

I wonder how many disputed the charges on their card and what that equates in dollars loss when and if they do open? We have seen several in this thread that already have been refunded. That in itself could be a very large hit financially.

If they do open and go back to business as normal, I suspect it will be a while before new orders start flowing in.

No wonder their paint colors match so well!

I'm just being funny.... I've known for a while now who owned what. 😉

I really hope so as well. I have 2 orders for an aerator (ordered and paid in August) and box blade. I finally had to dispute charges this morning because nobody has answered the phone nor have they responded to emails. Last communication was from Nate on January 4 and nothing since. I hope Ted figures it out because their equipment is well made. I think his lack of communication more than business troubles are the biggest issue relative to trust and confidence. They’ve been a great company and I wish them the best.
Do you really expect a response from a business office on a Sunday!
Get real.

I was looking at real estate at Lake Norman and thought if the $6M glass palace sells that would certainly help things out.
Then I realized I live in a dump although I did buy a rear blade.
The last one listed is more my speed and I like the convenience of the bathroom toilet the sink is right there to lean over into, but so small I'd have to exit just to change my mind.

Yep. 100% customer support on a Sunday morning. Credits already showing. That’s real.

That's why you use a credit card to charge certain things. Dispute and get your money back. On the downside for a company, chargebacks make bad things worse. And fast.

Few companies can withstand the daily bombardment of cancellations.

From EA, no. Did I mention I ordered in August and have had no communication since Jan 4? Many Non-Sundays in that span.

I hated to do it but can’t take a chance with absolutely no communication. I hope they still ship and then the dispute will close and then get paid. A roundabout way I guess to pay when shipped. I am not sure why they won’t reply and discuss the issues with customers.

No reason for any company to charge in full up front then ship months later except for a severe cash flow problem.
It would only be reasonable if the item ordered was a custom one-of. For an item that really should be off-the-shelf item, like a 3 point or SSQA attachment, it was ludicrous to ask, and foolhardy to pay beyond the 60 to 90 day easy charge back time period.

That's because of the treatment of people who have voiced issues on social media by both employees of the company and EA fans. If you posted about a problem on their Facebook page
This was my experience when doing research as I was grapple shopping. It really turned me off on the company.
Plus I needed the grapple "now", not 4 months after I paid for it.

If the EA one does come in, anybody in middle TN in the market for a barely used BB?

I'm not in TN but if you could provide the "free" shipping which I've grown accustomed to... :😀

What is most aggravating is that I finally went and bought a box blade locally, and not a week later I get this news. If the EA one does come in, anybody in middle TN in the market for a barely used BB? :)

And a video with Peanut.

I had considered placing an order with EA. Some other problems with getting delivery on a different product purchased on Ebay made me take pause and do a search for a suitable grapple within driving distance. In order to be able to purchase an inventory item, I needed to convert my Koyker loader to skid steer quick attachment. A call to a local tractor and implement dealer got a adapter plate coming with no down payment and a two week time frame for delivery. Once the plate arrived, I got serious in my search for a grapple. There wasn't anything local that fit my needs, but I did find something suitable less than an hour away. I hooked up the trailer and made the short drive about a week ago. After looking over several models built by Armstrong, I made my choice. They loaded it on my trailer and I strapped it down, then went to the office and wrote a check. Both the adapter plate and the grapple were priced by the dealers at a substantial discount to what I could have ordered them for on-line, and paid up front to get into the queue line. I, for one, am happy to see that eyes are being opened to the risks involved with playing along with the pay now and wait for shipment model of doing business. It seems to be pervasive in the appliance and furniture businesses as well. Shop as local as you can and this crap business plan may go away. Best of luck to you folks that have fronted money to EA.

For what it's worth, I was just contacted by EA yesterday (Feb 9), and told that they were shipping my box blade out; the BB was ordered mid August last year, almost 6 months ago. They had changed shippers since my order and wanted to make sure that the new terminal was OK with me, which it was. I asked if the company was still in business because of all the "chatter" online about the company, and he said yes. They had closed for about a week during a reorganization, but had called him back in to get some product out the door. I did get an email yesterday with shipping info for the new shipping company (SAIA), but no tracking number yet.

Now I had just initiated a dispute with the CC company about a week ago (long shot, I know), so I do not know if that somehow got things moving, or if it is just coincidence. So I had to call the CC company and let them know that there may be a resolution, but not to close the file yet. If it shows up I will certainly let the CC company know and cancel the dispute.

What is most aggravating is that I finally went and bought a box blade locally, and not a week later I get this news. If the EA one does come in, anybody in middle TN in the market for a barely used BB? :)
I've called them half a dozen times over the last 10 days and sent a couple of emails regarding my land plane that was supposed to ship on February 1st. For the first time I was able to leave a message today (mailbox was no longer full). Still no call back or return responses to my emails. I have always been happy with their products but they have used up all their goodwill with me. I'm in the camp of never buying another EA product.
