No I'm Not Ted :ROFLMAO: LOL but I did just order a 7' 6 way scraper blade from them today. I will update as it will be 6 to 8 weeks I'm told before it is ready. The 6 way grader blade that I have now is an early 1950s vintage (shows either 1950 or 1956 I can't tell for sure) and with a 6' blade it is a bit too narrow for my new tractor and its width. I am very skittish at how close I have to the edge of the cliff with the tractor wheels just to clear the windrows off the side to allow for water runoff. Also it is now starting to show signs of abuse like wear from my 55 HP tractor. Time to beef it back up for the metal fatigue I noticed after my last use with my new tractor and then time to find it a new home on a smaller HP tractor.

They make good products but they aren't the only ones who do. The way they treated their customers when everything went bad was enough for me. I will never EVER hand over a single cent to them. They showed who they were and I don't need a second glimpse....

I hesitated to order for many years before they had their issues because I just could not get past the pay upfront requirement they had. I told them so many times. Now that I don't have to pay until it is ready I'm good. A small deposit would be okay but I just would not buy their products because of their pay upfront policy. Now that they are more in line with how I think things should be I'm more than willing to support American steel, workers and employers. So I will just continue to follow my best practices approach. I also can understand the problems with a contractor and how quickly things can get outside of your ability control things. That said it is why I didn't buy from them until now. The only place I compromised on this rule was with Brian at Fit Rite Hydraulics. I figured that with his track record, it was no real risk at all. That is unless he passed away that is. That risk I figured was minimal since it seems all he does is work. I have purchased from him twice now. Once for the Montana and now for the Bobcat CT-5555 that replaced the Montana. That said I'm very pleased with Brian and his products!

I've read in other places the they were open again but then someone else would refute it. Can anyone local do a drive by?

My feelings about not buying from them now is not from fear of not receiving what I order, it's that I don't feel they deserve my business now after the way they treated their past customers. There are other US based companies to buy from such as Homestead Implements, Catawba, US Steel, etc. that haven't screwed over any of their customers in the past..

I just got an email from their newsletter. maybe they are active again. I'm kind of like others, I would hesitate to buy unless picking up locally.

I don't know for sure but it seems the squeaky wheels have stopped squeaking. I even ordered my 6 way 7' grader blade today and the build time is now estimated at 6 to 8 weeks. Down from 10 to 15 weeks for my land plane

I read just yesterday where some guys are placing orders and receiving the orders within 6 weeks and others guys complaining about it because they have been waiting on THEIR ORDER for over a year. So it seems that EA is NOT prioritizing the orders they already have committed to and been paid for...
