Steering Wheel knob-recomendations?

I ruined 2 pair of Wolverine gloves and a shirt on a spinner. I like it and use it a lot, but be careful and choose one with smooth attachment hardware.

While plowing the street the other day, i was making a big run (straight shot), gunned it hard and off we went and hit the manhole cover that sticks up
COMPLETE STOP in about 1 inch

Wham, right into my gut
ugh, after getting my breath back for a while, let me tell you I have a real nice baseball sized bruise right in my gut. Good thing I'm not skinny or I would have really picked up speed and hit hard. Ugh.

So, do be careful, but I've still got mine on there.

Got one from Agri-supply here in Raliegh here. Think I paid $10. Agree with others, it is extremely handy; especially when backing up and making tight turns. Can't imagine not having one at this point.

Just ordered 2 on ebay. These have a picture of Marlyn Monroe in them. They were called suscide knobs, and they do have the fold down feature. Just thought I'd enjoy holding MM in my hand all day.

I think there's probably good reasons they are not standard equipment. I suppose it does happen, but you don't often find items of "standard equipment" that buyers promptly remove to throw in the trash, which is exactly what I'd do with a suicide knob if one had come on my tractors.

Wow.. I love mine.. I'm not sure I could get used to mowing my pasture without it.
