You don't build up toxins. You just build up an allergy.

The epipen can be hazardous also. Don't use it unless you are having a life threatening reaction. The epipne injects adrenilene in relatively large amounts and can be dangerous if used when not needed.

The other solution is to take antihistimines. These don't work fast enough to save your life if you are having breathing difficulties, but they might take the swelling down faster.
