With all the HST peddles sticking complaints on so many different models and manufacturers, it has become obvious this is a design issue.
I have a New Holland TZ25DA with the same issue. Doesn't seem to be as bad after it's been running and is warmed up, but it never is to may satisfaction. After studying the mechanics of how the peddle returns, I have decided the damping cylinder is contributing to this problem. I will be disconnecting the damping unit later this month to see if there is any change in how fast the HST returns.
I have a very old Deere 425 with about 1200 hours that doesn't seem to suffer from this issue. I will also take another look at it's return system to see how different it is from the TZ25.
