How difficult is it to access the control valve on the B2920? If relatively easy try disconnecting the valve from the linkage and see if the joystick moves freely or still binds. If it move freely try to move the spools in control valve by hand to see if they feel like they are binding. Once you have determined which component is binding then you can start eliminating possible friction points.
On the control valve is it possible these tractors or valves sat on a lot and got water in the spring centering assembly causing them to rust?
On the linkage, is one of the pivot points caulked or twisted causing the assembly to bind?

I actually worked with mine last night before I posted. Everything with the valve was clean and no rust anywhere. My tractor has only 20 hrs on it and the dealer had to order it when I put in my order. I had seen two B2920' s on another lot before I ordered mine and one was really smooth and the other was stiff like mine. Unfortunately, mine came in with a very stiff operating loader valve. I did spray lube on the valve to see if it would help but it didn't make any difference.

I can't speak for the OP but on my 2620 the valve is stiff all the time,whether the tractor is running or not.

Are your valves cable operated, or lever operated?
If both spools have about the same resistance, the I would think the spools are tight due to the centering springs used.
You might remove the spools and see if there is any debris in the spool.
Are the levers any different from one valve to another, or same length, etc?

After having another look at my control valve I would guess the centering springs are causing the stiffness.I don't feel any friction or binding in the linkage,just the lever returning to neutral with quite a bit of force.If it is caused by stiff springs,is there any thing that can be done about it or will it loosen up over time with usage?To the OP,I am not trying to hijack your thread,just trying to find a solution for everyone.
Hey. No problem at all. I just wonder if they may have different selection of springs. I looked at two new B2920's on the same lot and both were completely different feel. If there are replacement springs with different tensions, I want the lighter ones. I'll work with mine again next week. I may call the dealer also next week and see if it may show options on the springs. If I find a fix, I'll sure let you know.

I have the 2620 and when I first got it the control valve for the FEL was quite stiff to operate when compared to the 2200 I traded off. Over time, I have 66 hours now, it appears to be loosening up a bit.

Hey Kelsir66,just wondering if you had any luck finding out about the springs?
Hey kcender, I sent my question to Kubota and they replied back and told me to contact a local dealer about the problem. I called and talked to the dealer and he said that there wasn't any options on the springs. He said to spray the piston area with WD-40 and work the control back and forth and up and down. Said it would eventually start easing up. I spray mine everytime I'm using it. Hope it helps. I noticed one other lil problem also. When I'm using the front loader, I can raise or lower with or without a load and it does this fine. When I dump the load, empty or full, the tractor chokes down some. I have no kinks in the lines. Just curious if others has this happen also.

Thanks for the reply.Can't say I have noticed the choking but I haven't used the loader a whole lot.

Valves have been known to warp when tightened down hard.
Try loosening the hold down bolts and see if there is any difference.
Is it one spool or all spools?

Same here with maybe the dump being a bit stiffer.At some point in the future I will try loosening the hold down bolts.

Just finished lubing the valve linkage and working the lever around.Could be my imagination but the valve doesn't seem quite as stiff.It is still stiffer than I would like but better than when it was new.Maybe in time with usage it will get better.I had a look at the linkage,looks like a tight area to get at to try loosening the hold down bolts.I think I will play the waiting game to see if the valve loosens up.
