Chipper Stop The Burn!! (New Jimna Chipper)

I sell alot of woodchippers (in the hundreds) I asked the factory and they said that Jinma does not make a 8" woodchipper, now that being said somebody might but not Jinma.I have also asked them about making a scaled down 4" model and to get the weight down to 500-550lbs.We will see what they come up with. Thanks Gordon21 for the plug,we try to keep the woodchippers in stock plus all of the replacement parts.

The ad for the 8" model says it has a 24", 175lb flywheel...but I think that's the same flywheel on my 6" model. It also lists the 8" model with a weight of 800lbs...doesn't my 6" model weigh 900lbs? double:confused:

All in all, I bet I could probably force an 8" or even 10" log into mine as far as the feed roller opening is concerned.

Maybe I better not...

I'm confused also, the 6" chipper has a 175lb flywheel and 2-sets of 10" blades? I would have them send you the specs on both to compare them.
The factory would have no reason not to tell me the truth

Not sure who Goss in Jasper, GA is a dealer for, but I have found them to be great to deal with and fair prices. 800-207-0523.

I think I'd want way more than 20HP to chip 8" of tree. My 35 pto hp tractor struggles on 5' cedar and 3.5" blackjack oaks. I haven't even considered putting my 6" chipper on my 20pto HP tractor.

My 30.5 hp occasionally shudders a bit, but only when chipping dense hardwood. SmithLa's profile shows he owns a 40hp Mahindra, so I think his machine could handle the 8" chipper. With a 20 hp (tractor, not PTO hp), I think I'd burn everything over 4" thick, unless it was kinda rotten ;).

The idea was that Jimna states 18-70 hp, thus giving folks with a small tractor the idea it will work with their tractor.

I updated my profile, I now own a Mahindra 6000 4WD, and it is rated at 59 hp. It probably would handle anything I throw at it.

I'm supposed to test drive a Wallenstein BX62 in a few days. I'm taking a few of these darn pines to throw at it. It costs $4K but seems to be well built as far as I can tell. Can't find anybody around here to test the Jinma, at least not yet.

I only live about 40 miles from Goss Tractor in Jasper, but he has been pricey on everthing I have ever looked at. I may stop in when I go over to Calhoun to test drive the Wallenstein.

Thanks,

The Jinma woodchipper will save you a couple of grand and do everything the other chipper will do,I wish we were closer so you could try one.We had a customer bring 2-treated 4x6 posts and feed them thru a 6" Jinma chipper
with a 25 hp tractor and it never missed a beat.If your set on the wallenstein chipper then get it,I understand not seeing one before you buy.If you do a search on here for the Jinma Woodchippers will will see alot of positive comments about them, parts for the Jinma woodchipper are a phone call away,we stock All the replacement parts and new blades. The blades are reversable to get double the useage and replacements are only $ 95.00 a set
You have to decide whats right for you.
