I agree on pallet racks.

I found a crank up lift similar to this one on craigslist.

Mine is rated for 650 lbs. to 16' high.

My friend, Wylee has something very similar by Genie. He replaced the hand crank with a 12vdc HF winch. We both used it building our houses - man what a tool. I've used it to place 21 ft 6X16s and 24 ft 4X10s and 4x12s.

Sorry to cause additional pain and anguish believe me it was just the evil side getting loose.

 Oh, I don't mind the additional ideas/projects coming to mind... That's the fun of TBN. I've (hopefully) got years of retired life to 'get around to it'.

It gives me something more to wake up to in the morning.

Mine sit outside - each on its own oak pallet. I have neither garage or carport space for all attachments. The only disadvantage of outside storage - IMHO - is faded paint. Neighbor stores all his in a garage and is always shuffling them around to get to the one he wants.

Individual racks made out of 4x4s or landscape timbers and good castors. You need 6" ones if you have anything but concrete or blacktop. It makes hooking up things an easy one man job.

I bought several heavy duty plastic pallets at a school surplus auction a few years back. They were used to transport roof top AC units. I got lucky and paid three dollars apiece. They support even my heavy BH.

Post some pictures of these if you can please.

That's how I made mine the second time around. With the Land Pride Quick Hitch and moveable implements even my 105 lb wifey can put on the heaviest of implements on.

3 dollars ea. I'd say you did darn good. I've been looking for plastic pallets around my area, but come up short. Northern Tool carries them, but I'm not going to pay those prices - even if they do come in tractor colors. Ugh! plastic pallet from Northern Tool + Equipment

Here is few photos of my set-up, it works. Stay away from the HF light duty caster, the heavy duty caster might be a better choice. The light duty caster are very difficult to move around.

My wood splitter, chipper, York rake, box scraper and backhoe are all on custom built rolling dollies with weight proportioned caster wheels.

Just an update: Picked up a set of 1500 lb vehicle wheel dollies from HFT. They work great, the box blade rolls with very little effort, not bad for 1260 lb box blade. ($49.95 with coupon for a set of 2) Just remember the 67338 have steel wheels and the 60343 have plastic wheels. (I have the steel wheels)

issue 1 for me, keeping the stuff out of the weeds.
issue 2 for me, keeping the stuff out of the mud.
issue 3 for me, i will most likely use multi 3pt hitch stuff in one go, say bottom plow, disc, drag harrow, rear blade, all in one day. and not have a chance to go at project for another few days because of rain.
issue 4 for me, trying to turn tractor just right inside of a shed to drop off / pickup another attachment, "dirty attachment from just using it"
issue 5 not enough time before next rain comes along to clean between using different implements so they may stay dirty for some time.
issue 6 i hate tarps, a good wind, and a tarp will get destroyed quickly. from a sharp corner on the implement/attachement, to just trying to strap a tarp down to keep it from blowing off. not to mention mice and other critters wanting to build nests, if you tarp it up to good.

most 3pt hitch implements are built heavy duty enough to last years setting outside. the bigger issues setting outside, are the sun rays, on rubber (from tires, to hyd hoses, belts), and then rain/snow/ice, and the rust that comes along with everything.

=================

personally prefer a "lean to" shed, or extension to side of the shed, were roof just extends out say 6 to 10 feet from the side of the shed. just enough to cover stuff below, and keep majority if not all of all sunlight and rain/snow/ice off the stuff. i say majorty due to high winds coming around and wiping some rain/snow/ice up on to some stuff.

easily backup to each implement without extra stuff in the way, and i can turn garden hose on/ pressure sprayer on, without fear of getting everything else inside a shed for example dirty/wet.

not really loosing valuable floor space inside the shed itself. or wall space.

the bigger issue with this is, you need more driveway, to get around to side of shed, or you will be dealing with a rutted muddy mess if driving over lawn to get to the area.

I use the same dollies on some of my heavier equipment.IMHO they work great on cement floors.

Looks great.
I used the wooden dollies from HF to make mine. Think that is posted somewhere on TBN.

I still need dolly for my backhoe, will have to look at these.

I am also looking forward to your build. This is a project that is on my list.

Are you using the 67338 with steel wheels or the 60343 with plastic wheels.
I have one pair with plastic wheels and two pair with steel wheels. Both have held up well.

That's my next project, backhoe attachment dolly
That's my current (but not yet started) project. Keep us updated! (please)

Anybody have opinions on whether the wooden or automotive (shown) dollies are superior? I am using the wooden ones for my land plane and am wondering whether the ones shown above are superior. Does more expensive = better?
