Don't mean to harp on something that you have probably already addressed, but did you actually see spark? New plug does not necessarily mean you have spark (could have a bad coil). Let us know.

I've bought bad new plugs too...Had that happened on a massive snowblower once...Pulled that stupid thing all over the garage trying to start it. With the old plug, it fired right up..

I just took a Stihl Hedge trimmer, Stihl saw and a Echo string timmer to the shop because I was tired of looking at them not being able to run and not have the time to do anything about it.

If spark then problem must be gas related. On page 30 of the manual it says "Have the pickup body in the fuel tank replaced every year". Perhaps it is clogged?

might check the exhaust for a spark arrestor screen. they get clogged after a while. may need to clean it

I finally took the trimmer to a small engine repair shop an he could not get it going either.
He must have missed something but what?
