Hard to tell from your photo, but it looks like your joists are on hangers on a single 2x12 that's spanning your posts. What is your post spacing? I'd consider this inadequate.

Don't know how you Texans do it. I am leaving the 100deg heat of Houston to get back home to Seattle where it is a comfortable 85deg! Yeah...
