Hi all,
Considering a stump bucket for my JD 3038E. Cleaning up a lot of wooded areas which will have smaller tree stumps. Mostly under 10 inches down to a few inches.
Any suggestions on a decent and functional but affordable stump bucket for the JD quick attach on the 3038E loader?
Thanks for any suggestions.

I've never used a stump bucket, but a lot of 10" stumps may be a bit much for a stump bucket. From the few videos I've seen, even small stumps can be a formidable opponent to dig out with a loader.
I have a 3 point stump grinder that makes quick work of small stumps. It paid for itself in doing around 25 (larger) stumps in my immediate area for hire, mostly for people I knew.

Yea, been watching some videos and use correctly it seems to do ok.
I had a 3-point stump grinder but sold it as I can do it just as quick or quicker with my Toro commercial hand operated one. Also gets into the tight area good!

I have a tomahawk brand stump bucket for my Boomer41 and recommend it. I dug out some pretty large pine stumps with it after hurricane ida took out some trees. Wouldn’t hesitate to tackle some 10 inch stumps. Didn’t happen fast and made a big hole but it worked. I don’t know if they make the JDQA version.

I think Good Works Tractors offers their Stump Wrecker with JD quick attach.

My situation - the only stumps that would need removal are on my larger pines. 32" to 42" on the base. Died from old age or pine bark beetle. I have never thought of removing those stumps. All the smaller pines are still very healthy. ANY method will require a whole lot of work. I just cut the tree at 36" high and consider it another ":forrest table".

I have a Titan stump bucket.

So far it has worked on old dead pine stumps 10 to 25 inches. it just pops them out of the ground in big chunks.
I removed several this afternoon.

The only draw back is on live or stumps around one year old makes a large hole and a lot more effort even a 10" hard wood stump takes time and there is defiantly a learning curve.

I consider it a cheap backhoe for removing stumps and it does a good job.

Titan makes a stump bucket for JD mine is for an LS there is a difference.
