You're still gonna get oil on your hands when you plug the hoses in, so you may as well save your money, unless you have another reason to get a diverter, like for your grapple. When you've got the thing hooked up you're not gonna be scooping anything..

Muhahahahahaha! :punch:

This KICKS BUTT!

I LOVE this thread! Oh man...where have I been! :banghead:

I might have to expound on this someday! A lil CAD and some Q's,

maybe some luck on a nice sized cylinder and chain and and and. Gawd how FUN!

yep, as someone said, imovable objects and instoppable forces are FUN!

I am already kakniving! How about adding a block and tackle to this w/ cable! HA!

Probably save on cylinder costs ehh? Hmmmm...well, gotta buy the Block and Tackle
but hey! HA! Love it!

I was thinking about building a hydraulic winch for my loader so I can keep the hoe attached to loosen up the stump first. I have quick attach so it would be handy. Of course it would be designed to dig in and have a tilt capability.

Jake was really thinking outside the box on this one.
So cool...Gawd I love this stuff. Just now I was looking
at cylinders when I saw this reply come in . Very Cool it is.
(Except one gent here suggested Grade 100 Square link chain.)
Well, I went looking for that and I think he meant to say "grade 120"
chian, and it is prohibitively expensive. McMaster was at $28.xx
per foot, i found it elsewhere for 18, still WAY expensive.

Cables and chokers perhaps?

Cable is lighter and has more than enough strength. That's why I like the hydraulic motor because I can just set a relief pressure and it will be safe.

DO ya suppose these cylinders are up to the task?
I just found 4 of them CHEAP.

You might break a chain with 5" bore. That's about 40000 lbs!

Well, 32k out of 45k ultimate strength won't break it assuming you don't have any nicks in your chain and your hooks are up to the task. It's still cutting it close unless you use two chains in my opinion.
