Stupid little red tail lights

I had work lights installed on my 7610, two 12V lights that I can swivel around with separate switches that only work when the lights are on. With one pointed back and the other front from the top of the ROPS I have great lighting for late night/early morning snow blowing, etc.

I thought about the strobe or revolving light too from the top of the ROPS but decided that it would be overkill.

Daryl,
I have two cheap magnetic ones that plug into a power plug. One is from Wal-Mart and the other from AutoZone. They were both $19.98 each.

I don't ever take my BX22 on roads so changing out the red lens for a clear one might be a good idea if I can find one? There have been times where just a bit of extra light in the back would have been handy but haven't really felt the need to add lights. Will have to measure them and do some searching.

i think the laws state they must be on there. i use my flashers all the time i am on the road, my mail box is on the corner and the plows just bury it with snow, so i have to clean that mess up all the time. day or night i put the flasers on. now if u need light to work at night, get some rops mounted lights.

Have you looked to see if your machine is pre-wired for a back light? My older 2150 already has the holes and wiring run to the underide of the right side fender ( sitting on the tractor). The wire is automatically hot when the headlights are on. Some of my friends put a switch in that hot line between the connector and the light so that it can be turned on and off right back there. Every tractor on my back road has a back light from TSC so they look "stock" - at least in my neighborhood.

( but even so people cant see a clear light and a bigs SMV sign and a big flashing yellow lights? )

Do a little internet research into highway accidents involving tractors and or Slow Moving Vehicle's and you will have answered your own question. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Has anyone connected to the prewired circuit on the right rear of the tractor for thier clear work lights? I am trying to use this circuit. It shows 12.0 volts but will not light my light. I tested the lamp and the switch is fine. This is on an L2500. Did bota wire in some sort of resistor on this circuit?

I have used mine, are you sure you are getting a good ground on the light?

Should be. The two wires I am using I tested with a meter first. The light also has a hot and a ground. So I thought I was all good.
