Subsoiler came in yesterday. :-) pic

This is very deceiving. The first pic is Ted from everything attachments setup. The second pic is mine, the same set up as my first pic only I have lowered it down.
My third pic is after I lengthened the top link more. This pic looks just like the way Ted has his set up.

You want the subsoiler vertical after it is at working depth. Ken Sweet

Got my Fred Cain Subsoiler yesterday and installed it last night. There were no instructions but it was pretty simple to put together based on the picture online. Here is a pic of it on my CK27.
I did a trial run today and i was impressed this tractor had no problems pulling it.
Because there was no instructions I am not sure on how to adjust the top link. The way it is now when the arms are lowered the main blade is about 90 degrees to the ground. I am kinda thinking I need a longer top link. ????

Those won't even last 2 feet at my house way to much rocks

That is a nice "Hay King" pasture renovator you have there. We sell quite a few of those in the south and the most in TX. Fine tool. Ken Sweet

The difference(the part that threw me), is that your subsoiler has an extra joint that other subsoilers don't have.

When you raise yours, it swivels under the tractor. As Ken said, be sure it's vertical at working depth.

It's all modular, except for the frame. If you break a couple of shanks off, they can be replaced. :laughing:

Thanks. It's a great tool. It has become increasingly important during the drought. Really helps the ground to absorb what little rain that we've had.

Are you able to remove the chisel and bolt a furrow blade on the foot with that subsoiler? It's hard to tell if the chisel and foot are one piece that's bolted to the shank.

The foot is cast. The chisel is steel and held on by 2 bolts. It is reversible.
Where would I get a plow to bolt on?
