I've never thought pouring fuel in was very hard. If it was on the side, then wouldn't the FEL be in the way even more (unless the FEL was raised up, which would be dangerous). Where else would you put it? I guess for me it's so much easier that the John Deere B I grew up driving, which is pretty far up there so it's quite a reach, that it seems easy on the Boomer. I agree that a can with a stiff spout is much easier that a flexible one. I just put my foot on the front tire and rest the can on my knee while it's pouring.
I agree with the loose bolts problem. I had a few loose on the wheels!
I don't like separate pedals for the hydro drive and I like the rocker hydro pedal. I like having it on the right. But, it's nearly impossible to brake steer. My solution would be to leave the hydro pedal where it is and have the brakes on the left and the clutch on the right. I know it would seem strange to have the clutch on the right, but on a hydro it's really not used the way a clutch normally is used. With a hydro, there's never any reason to use the clutch and the hydro pedal at the same time and the only time the clutch is used is to engage and disengage the PTO, or make and emergency stop of the drive and PTO. Brake steering would be easy. Another solution would be to move the hydro pedal to the left, but I'm also much more coordinated on my right foot. Now that I think about it, maybe the best solution would be to leave the hydro pedal on the right and add one to the left! Then, to brake steer you could use the one on the left and it would be easier when your looking over your left shoulder backing up, which is kind of awkward with the hydro pedal on the right.
I would change the way the ROPS flips down. I'm not sure how it is on the Class I and III, but the Class II has pins that go in some brackets that stick out on the front of the ROPS which are right in line with the back of my head if I lean back and off to one side. Plus, those pins rattle, which is annoying.
I can't think of anything else I would change!
