if you're going into the woods, check the width of the back tires - not all brands are the same. For example, my current mahindra 3510 is 6-8" wider to the outside of the tires than my previous Century 2535 (same as Branson 3510).
also compare PTO HP, since that's what drives implements like a brush hog mower. (figure 5 PTO HP per foot of rotary mower, so 28-32 PTO HP can handle a 6' mower without stress)
also consider weight and frame size.
the Kioti CK35 and DK35 have similar HP & PTO ratings, but the DK is about 1000 pound heavier and longer, taller, wider, to boot. (Same song with other brands as well)
If you want traction and pulling power, get the larger frame. if you need to be able to get in tight spaces, go with the smaller one.
It's hard to find a BAD new tractor at tis point in time. some machines will require more initial prep work (upgrading hoses, exchanging fluids, etc...) and more preventive maintenance, etc... but overall, it's going to come down to what's important to you.
Low price up front with more sweat equity over time?
high price up front with high cost OEM parts?
or less common name but good quality, reasonable prices on parts, but less dealer support network. (same dealer support, they're just farther apart on the ground)
