sunshade or not

... Now that I think about it though, the sunshade might actually make it easier to maneuver around those branches - instead of constantly cranking my head around to see if the ROPS will clear, having the sunshade in your field of vision might let you know right away of any potential collisions. Just wondering if anyone with a sunshade sees it that way?

Exactly right  You can just watch the front edge of the sunshade (even out of your peripheral vision to some extent) for obstacles. No need to look at the ROPS anymore.

Yep, you do have to watch where you're going whether you have a canopy or not. You can see the right rear of my canopy where I backed under a really big tree limb that wasn't as high as I thought it was. And the canopy was so strong I wasn't able to straighten that little wave.

Bird, looks like you have the same canopy as I have, except yours is in much better shape! :D When cutting the underbrush I have to go under a lot of trees with the low hanging 1/2 to 1 inch branches. I just use the canopy to keep them off my person and my loader controls.

The back end of mine looks like lasagna noodle it is so wavy from the limbs sliding off the back end. I have been able to use vicegrip style wood clamps to reshape it for the most part. A pair of metal working grips with a 4 inch lip would be better, but I don't have any.
