Synthetic Oil in Tractors and Trucks

Nope, it's not the trash some people make it out to be. Loads of truckers with millions of miles to back up that statement to. Like most thing's, there are better and there are most definitely worse. But there's nothing wrong with the "T".

I use Rotella T and wix filters. catch alot of greif over the Rotella from buddies.

use the 15w40 variation in the truck and tractor and 5w40 synthetic in the Jetta. coupled with the low particulate emisions of biodiesel my OCI are well past OEM specs with verified OA's

I don't recall anyone on here calling it trash oil. I just like some oils better, & I will not use some oils at all. some folkes like different brands of gasoline & that's ok

While I use the Rotella Sync in the tractor and motorcycles I'm also a big fan of Royal Purple. Truly liquid gold when you look at the price. Some pretty amazing stuff however. I provided via a dyno that running it gave me a hp gain in my Miata that I raced. No jokes please. If you look on their FAQs page you will see the below statement. The purple juice is super slick.

You can also call them directly and talk to an engineer about diesels and break in.
