I've owned a T1670 for 18 months now and have been very satisfied with it. Like all Kubota products, it's well made and comfortable to use. I particularly like the strong hydrostatic transmission, and the beefy deck attachment, frame, and steering column. But it's probably a little small for what you are wanting to mow, as it only has a 40" deck on it. I don't think it has a front blade as an option either. Since I also own a
b2910, I haven't used it for much other than mowing and towing a small dump cart.
When you start looking at the TG series, in my opinion it begins to make sense costwise to also look at the BX series. The
BX1500 is a full featured diesel tractor. Not only will it serve as a finish mower, but you can also put a blade on the 3-point hitch and do some real work. Got a garden? Buy a 3-pt pto tiller. Want to move dirt? Get the front end loader. You get the picture . . . lots more versatility than a lawn (T-series) or garden (TG series) tractor. I could be wrong, but I think a BX-1500 with a mid-mount mower can be had for under $8k. My little T1670 cost me $3,500 out the door, but it's not even close to the same capabilities.
In 10-20 years, the BX-1500 will still be worth a sizable portion of your original purchase price. This isn't just wishful thinking, it's a fact. Little tractors just don't depreciate like cars, boats, or lawn mowers.
You should probably post some more details about the conditions on your home turf, and you'll get more directed advice. It could be that a T-series will do what you need.
