Takin it to the MAX

I have been busy finishing my strobe lights. It was worth the effort but I need a break, ALOT of wiring but my 6 zone contoller with twenty plus flash patterns is really cool. Psychedelic and almost seizure inducing comes to mind... No way anyone's not gonna see me out there. I need to take a video for this one, lol, and the only mounted pic I have right now is of the crash bar unit mounted.

My word Black i'm surprised you haven't run out of aux. fuse places in your box. I notice you have a harness for the guard mounted lights. Are you running these directly off the battery?

Hey Arrow, my six circuit fuse box i added is full. The HID lights on the front crash bar are wired into the stock 10A headlight circuit of the tractor, as well as the brake and reverse LED lights. Everything else is fed off my aux fuse panel I added, which is fused at 40A. My 22" LED light bar on the ROPS and the heater fan are my highest draws, fused at 10A each. I did a full load test with tractor running and every device turned on, which I am not likely to use all at once and I held 13.4V at 1750ish Rpm and higher, but only 12.5V at idle so I may be looking at a larger alternator. I expected this as my stock alternator is only 50A. Not sure if you meant the strobe lights on the crash bar? I have many harnesses for everything on the tractor, that pic was only the strobes mounted but not fully wired yet(it is now). I am finished ALL my wiring now so it's ok my fuse panel is full, I also never tapped into the spare 10a circuit on the stock fuse panel. I wanted most of my devices to be fed from the battery, my 12V dash switch works the relay that hot's up my fuse panel independent of the ignition key. That way I can listen to the stereo, have work lights, and use the strobes etc without the tractor running. It just takes responsibility to remember to turn off that 12V dash switch or suffer a dead battery...

Video will be made shortly, I am waiting for two parts to finish the tractor. My rear work light died when I fired up the tractor and I smoked the LEDs with 13.4volts from the alternator. I assumed(never assume) they were 12v leds as everything was fine on the bench and running on the battery only. Oh well, simple load resistor worth pennies coulda prevented this $40 whoops, live and learn. I kinda want everything working for the video so it will be a bit yet. I ran to my neighbours house with Max, kicker stereo blasting, strobe lights dancing, front HID's and top LED lights blaring.... It was so bright it actually made the strobe lights fade behind the glare... Lol. We had a great laugh and I plowed his driveway for him, my wife thought I was nuts when I came inside with a very big childish smile on my face. Was worth every minute, hour, week, and month of work !! The camera doesn't capture how mean it looks in person, but here is a pic anyway.

Thanks, with all the stuff I added, if I had to pick one thing as my favorite it has to be the heated seat.... I was absolutely toasty sitting on it.

You know when you think about it, a heated seat on a tractor makes a lot of sense. I have a ram 1/2 ton pickup and it has both the seated seat and steering wheel and I love them both. It gets cold up here in the winter.

I adapted a quick change steering wheel to Max, my reversing seat for the back hoe gave me a bit of a reach to the stock steering wheel. New wheel is three inches higher and comes off with the push of a pin and twist of a collar.... Neat. I also mounted a nine inch screen for my front and rear cameras complete with night vision, it actually works !! The screen does not block my view at all, I can still see the full top of the hood.

I didn't read all the post yet but was wondering about the steering wheel setup.

I am North of you and can testify about the cold... The heated seat was a great addition. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being comfortable on your tractor, and like a heated vest the heated seat helps keep your torso warm. I was out in -23C and other than gloves I was dressed lightly and was not cold. I can only imagine when I install the soft cab and turn on my aux heater in combination with the heated seat it will be even better. I wouldn't be surprised if a manufacturer offered a heated seat as an option or accessory in the future... It works that good !!

The steering wheel I believe was a 300mm diameter hi-rise, you can get 320mm too. It came with the quick release collar and hub and I asked for a Mitsubishi spline... It did not bolt on. Took a chance there but it seems a Mitsubishi tractor steering shaft is larger than a Mitsubishi car.... , so I bored out the splines on the hub and had new ones cut. Had a friend do the work on the hub for me, but you may be able to find the right spline count. I can't remember the spline count right now, 27 or 29? Sorry, I did this mod last August, steering wheel was ordered on Ebay.
