Tatro / WR Long grapple combo install

They are standard bulkhead fittings. These are 1/4" NPT male to 3/8 JIC male (designation 04-06). Pretty standard stuff. I got them from Discount Hydraulic Hose.

Nice job installing the grapple!

I was thinking about installing a grapple on my tractor in the future and I had a question:
Is it worth trying to use pivot pins that have grease zerks? My loader has all grease-able pins, should the grapple?
Is wear not enough to worry about in this application? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I thought about adding zerks to the grapple but decided against it. The grapple will not be on all the time and I will be greasing the bosses and pins before installing each time. Too much hassle for so little payback.

Thanks for the informative post. You know I've been ready to order one and do the installation. Your photos are a great help. I may need to contact you when doing the hydraulic valve part. BTW, I tried to look for The Tatro grapple on eBay and could not find it? It said this seller does not have any listings right now...or something like that? Any key words to get to the right place? In any event, I still haven't made my choice on which one to buy.

The Tatro grapple is frequently on eBay, just not at this time. You might want to email him. Andy Tatro's email address has been posted here several times. Do a search and you will find it or send a PM to PineRidge who I know has it.

/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif One of the better fabricators on the site is going to BUY something rather than make it? Even with a lovely assistant to do the painting ?
 ( Oh well, at least his latest project not only looks good, but really works fantastic! It still amazes me when he designs this stuff, then actually makes it! )
