TBN Stealth Mode

Well, this turned into a little deeper discussion than I was ready for, but it's good to "check the compass" (moral, etc.) every once in a while. I've given this some thought before, and decided it isn't any different than the paper, or listening to the radio. It's getting the job done, and avoiding bad appearances or influences. If I've rationalized that, I'm ready to be corrected. Having said that, I must confess that the last four weeks have been less productive for me because I've been absorbed in this tractor search, and keeping up with you guys.

Thanks for softening things, beenthere, and for making the original comment. I can very much relate to using too big a hammer, my friend /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif.

To answer Mike's question, I size the window down and scroll away from it. I understand the need for ads, but it would be nice to remove the big flasher from individual threads - we'd see more on one page that way.

Just FYI, I worked for the USDA Forest Service for 35 years as a researcher. I worked a lot with the public.
Our work ethics were pretty high, at least among those who were professionals. But I know where your thoughts and ideas are coming from, and suspect all are not wrong.

Many cheers to you too.

Huh - No flashing on my TBN?

Maybe the flashy thing loses it's flashiness whilst crossing the pond??

Actually, if you wait for the page to load, and then hit your browser's stop button, all animations will stop.

Well I'll be! I have been on the internet for six years and did not know that. Learn something new every day!

If you can stand it, use Lynx.

It's text only and ugly as heck but people will think your busy doing some intensely complicated computer thing that they don't even want to understand.
