OK, you were the one who used the words, warrior, battle and enemy.

Here I am demonstrating what the best dressed warriors are wearing this season. The all new Army Camoflage Uniform (ACU), Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH) with goggles on top, Oakley ballistic sunglasses, earplugs, Interceptor body armor with front and back SAPI (Samll Arms Protective Inserts) plates, 3 liter Camelbak hydration system and LPC's, (Leather Personnel Carriers).

**** nice attire, Get some Marine!

We just got these things that look like a bandana but they got crystals in them that soak up water all out of proportion and when sort of draped around you neck keep the blood going to your head cooler. As I got older my head started dripping sweat and running in my eyes . This thing really works.
Oh yeah My wife hysterically calls everyone on this net MY Tractor Buddies.

rox,
I'm not 6sunset6, but this is one site that has them, Patriotic Bandanas by MiraCool. Looks like they'd work great. (they even have France's flag too :D, but I don't think as a cool bandana though )

EDIT: just google "MiraCool" and you'll see all sorts of other options as well. Or you could modify your tractor with this setup, golf cart mister, 12 volt misting systems, for about 100 times the cost of a MiraCool bandana.

Maddog,
Thanks for the links. I was hoping for a bandana that absorbed sweat although the link you provided looks interesting. Also I am strongly cosidering getting one of those isting systems. i e-mailed them as the misting company said they were exporting to 78+ countries.

Last year I got dressed for battle against a buried hive of yellow jackets.
I found them the hard way while mowing the woods up at the church. Although they are quite a ways from the building, I didn't want anyone else to get stung. Searched around for cheap or used gear, no luck for my one time use. One night about 10pm I put on a pair of jeans and long sleeve t-shirt. Taped all then ends to socks and latex gloves. Then put on a pair of insulated coverals (remember it's summertime in Florida) and taped those at all ends. Then I added a complete rain suit and taped that to some work gloves and high top rubber boots. Put a construction hard hat on and a mosquito net over that tucked into the collars and taped tight.
Rode in the back of the truck up there armed with a flashlight and some 7 dust.
By the time I was able to get back to the house (3/10 mile) I was soaking wet in sweat and ready to come out of those clothes.
Imagine that picture in your mind!!

PJs, slippers & coffee mug for the cup holder, heated attached garage, remote electric garage door opener & it's off to work blowing out the driveway at minus 30 degrees.

I may be a weenie for letting my wife talk me into a new cab tractor instead of a used JD 4310 but I'm warm & really comfortable weenie. :)

Rox,

Our papers read that Europe is having a unusually hot summer, this may help.

We bought these for our spray painters when we couldn't air condition the paint shop. The special ice packs stay at 50 degrees F for about 4 hours but they cost about $200 for the vest & 2 sets of ice packs.

The Original Cool Vest - Cooling Vests - Ice Vests - Glacier Tek

You can approximate this at home with refreezable water ice packs & an old vest, just wrap a towel around the ice pack to prevent frostbite. Total cost $0 :)

Stay cool.
