Thanks. I should be pretty ready by the time the growing season starts again.
Just need to find one that is closer to Washington State. The shipping costs are killer on those! Very near 50%! Most I've seen so far are out of the mid-west / east coast area.
Guess no one thinks we use that stuff here. I'll check with the dealer to just to see what they have.
Thanks.

Elvis, I have to NH tractors. A TC34DA and TZ22DA. Both have 72 and 60 inch mid mount mowers respectively. We use the tz for under low trees and around brush however the TC34DA mows about 8 acres weekly in the summer. The 34 is fitted with an FEL and BH but both are left off for mowing. We have a couple of trickly little hills and grades and frankly done correctly I am very confident but careful vs dareful with tractor. We have 4wd with super steer, industrial bar tires and have no discernable markings in the lawn and have good traction on the hills. I have also used 4wd on mildly soft lawn with no damage. I love these tractors they have NEW HOLLAND mowers .

I'm not sure what super steer is :)...
The drainage ditch that has me concerned is about 20' wide but shapes like a coffee cup for lack of a better description. I'd show a photo but you can't tell what it is buried in snow. Getting over the crest may be a issue no matter what.
But, out in the open this sounds like it will do great. Thanks.

Super Steer was on the NH Boomer series tractors. IIRC, the entire axle turned as well as the steering knuckles. That resulted in a very short turning radius.
Super Steer wasn't available on the TC-30.

Sounds nice as long as they built it strong!

I've owned a TC-30 with a 5' Land Pride rear finish mower for 5 years now. I mow 5-6 acres and have done some light bush hogging with it. I can always back the mower into something that needs mowing, even if I can't get the tractor in there.

I haven't seen a listing for a rear (pto mount) finish mower. Can you send me a link to look at?
I went by the property the other day but there was too much snow on the ground to really see anything. Still, about 2 months left to make up my mind! :)

Here's a link - Grooming Mowers | Land Pride

They call them grooming mowers. I have the FDR 1660. Have replaced the blades and belt once, about 2 years ago. Got a wheel tangled up in a downed tree top and lost some of the spacers, etc. for that. Other than that, it's been trouble free.

Meant to add, that I have the R4 tires and they are weighted. I do rut my yard sometimes, if I mow when it's wet. Or if I leave it in 4 wheel drive and turn too sharply.

Here's a couple more links for finishing mowers:
Woods Equipment Company - Finish Mowers Overview
and
BEFCO - Products - Finishing Mowers - Cyclone C30

I owned 2 BEFCO mowers, both of which were purchased as part of buying a used Deere.
The first BEFCO was a 60" C30 model. Great mower...had it for close to 10 years with no more maintenance then greasing, annual blades sharpening and one belt. That was traded off when I traded my Deere 790 for a Deere 4400 that came with a BEFCO C50 84" mower. Also a great mower...if you have a large yard (at least a few acres. It was also too wide to safely back into my garage.

I sold the BEFCO C50 to a buddy of mine who needed a bigger finishing mower.
I replaced the C50 with a Frontier (Deere brand, but made by Woods) 72" mower same as this one (Woods Equipment: Product Details) but with Deere green and the Frontier stickers on it. All the Frontier mowers are made by Woods or BEFCO, BTW.
Very good mower!! It was lightly used when I bought it. A bit less unwieldy then that BEFCO 84" mower and much less likely to take my garage door frame down when I back the tractor in the garage.

Your TC-30 could easily handle a 72" mower. That's the size I suggest you buy. I also suggest you buy the optional anti-scalp roller.

I guess I have one question. There are some BH that are incompatable with the brackets that hold the MMM. I don't know which ones are and which ones aren't but your NH dealer should be able to tell you. I know one thing from dealing with the MMM on my TC-24D, dealing with the deck itself isn't bad, but you don't want to have to be dealing with the brackets underneath the tractor everytime you want to use the BH. For a long time a BH and a MMM were mutually exclusive unless you went with a TPH mounted BH and even some of them had problems with the MMM brackets.
