Mowing TC-30 belly mover

I have a NH T1510 and a 60" belly mower. I have loaded turfs and cut 3 acres of hill. I mean hill. It is a real good combination. I had some traction issues until I loaded the rear tires. Years ago, I had a rear mounted mower. I prefer the MMM. Good luck.

I like the idea of the rear grooming mower. The BH set up does have the "clamps" hanging a bit low under the belly on this one and I wouldn't want to mess with that when I needed to swap out.
I can't load my tires due to the need to watch my total weight. My truck can handle it fine but the trailer is only a 10k and with the rest of the "crap" that is carried with it, puts it over the limit :( If I never trailered it, I would definitely do it though.
I was talking this over with the wife the other night (justifying more tools :) ) and i heard the scariest thing come out of her mouth.... That sounds fun and when are you going to teach me to use it. Not a bad thing from some women, but bad from mine! **** thing will end up in the lake!

One thing we forgot to ask (i think) Do you have all of the lift arms for the 3 point hitch.

Ed,

You don't need to worry about shipping costs, there are lots of local dealers you can visit to work a deal from. Scholten's is just up the road from you and they have new and used finish mowers like this Rankin RFM2072 that seems reasonably priced. I like the rear discharge to spread the clippings better and 6' will be just outside your tires so you can mow close to objects.

My 33D is just about the same as your 30 IRT weight (without the BH) and the R-4 tires will make marks in our ground this time of year. I use mine to move firewood up to the porch and the ground looks a llittle distressed right now. But come spring I can assure you it seems to grow at least 1" per hour. And the Dandelions grow even faster.

Everything is there. The BH is a frame mount and my arms are hanging in there :) The 3 point has never been used though. Same with the mid PTO.

Only someone from here would think Lynden is just up the road! :)
Our grass does seem to shoot up until August, for sure! If it hadn't snowed I'd most likely have had to mow already.
I'm going to check them out though, I do like buying local if at all possible and the price looks good. Besides, I like that area of our State.
Was on the Island over the weekend taking care of the blow downs from our resent storms, for some reason, I find that relaxing :)
I take crappy photo's but this is the land I'm talking about, You don't see much of it from the photo's but I tried :) Lake/pond = 5 acres +/- and the same with the land. It will be a lot of work getting it back into shape but that will also be the fun of it. After I unbury the crane on the property, I post photo's of it while I try and figure out what it really is.
Thanks!

Looks like there's a few things in the brush you're bound to discover once you hook on a mower. Keep some bolt cutters with you, and an ear peeled for scratching/metal noises!
That crane probably has some value to someone, if only a scrapper.
RFM = less trouble.

I'm a little worried about finding hidden "treasure" only on the front half. Figure I'll start with a weed whacker with a chain on it first. Beat certain areas down first to be safe, come back with the bucket.. scrape..new soil and start it all over with new grass. There are 4 abandoned boats on the property, 3 cars and the crane. The bank says they will take care of the cars and boats but not the crane. I figure the crane could be fun and if nothing else something for the grandkids to play on :). The bigger problem is the 40 years of crap abandoned by the previous owners in the shop, it's 2500 +/- and 1/2 full of it. The bank tells me it's my problem. But, at what I am paying for this and the location I can put up with a trash out or two!
I figure to be able to use the finish mower on only 2 acres to start then up to 4 by the end of the summer.

Wow, I've seen some strange things on a few parcels but never run across a crane. Saw a dozer on one place. Could be a score or a headache. If it runs and you want some leads let me know, the WHE for the Navy knows a few owner/operators. But if it does run sure could come in handy for something!

I looked at a property that had a TON of junk on it and the Bank (repo) was selling "as is". I figured I could get some dumpsters in and just start loading but when I found unmarked drums of fluid I ran away. No way was I going down that road.

The original owner used to farm peat with the crane. The tenants in the place used to know them and moved in a year before the guy lost it. The bucket is there on the side of the lake, but he says the crane hasn't been ran in about 4 years. There are a few old diesel "pumps" for no better description on the property but they are all empty and rusted out. No other chemicals or such present, that has been found anyways with a few folks looking at the whole property with a fine tooth comb. The place is pretty solid but they just never updated, then the bank did the least amount of ground work to keep it presentable.
The lake is stocked though :) But, it will be a money pit for a year or so while I find time to work on it. Move in ready though, but the wife has a "vision" for it! And I must comply, LOL.
We just think they put it on the market at a bad time and a horrible time of the year. Not a easy buy since there are no comps anywhere nearby but I'll be able to say for sure in a year if it was worth it.
The family place on Whidbey was the way you described. Took almost 2 years to clean it out and rebuild the place/grounds. It's nice now though.
By the way, this is when I'm VERY happy I have a dump trailer :) The amount of junk is unknown until the renters are out though, after that, we'll know for sure. They have been pretty nice to deal with so far so I hoping not too much stuff (other than the known) is left behind.
