Reading your pasts post's about the steering problem. Just curious if the Problem has been resolved , if it has what the solution.

The TC55 uses the same chassis as the 2120 one of Ford/New Holland's much successful longest production run tractors. I've run a 2120 since 1987 with no steering problems. Sure it steers harder than a smaller machine like a TC40/45 but that is due to the smaller loader and frame size. I don't know what is wrong with your steering, but since I have so many hours on a 2120 (since 1987), I decided to try out a couple at my local NH dealer. They feel just like a 2120 with or without a full bucket as you would expect. I will say that a 2120 with an overfull bucket (weight wise) does steer somewhat hard.

My 2120 steers like silk until the bucket gets too full to lift, then it's somewhat dull feeling, though it turns. Something must be different about the 55s. On the 2120 it doesn't matter whether you're moving or not as far as ease of steering goes. There is also no point in the turning where it's harder or easier than any other point. Can you retrofit a bigger piston? My guess is the rest of the steering gear can take the bigger push.

Thanks Andy I have heard that too. I was just down in your neck of the woods last week. Ok well I’m from Norwich my self moved to Maine 30 years ago seen a big NH Dealer Just out side of Willimantic nice Farms around their seen a nursery tree farm that must have had 5 or 6 TC 55 working on it no loaders on them but it was nice to see all the blue /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
