Re: TC18 60\" MMM

the bolt is broken flush with the transmission housing, as is the easy out. i don't know how to weld, but my father-in-law can. I wonder if you can weld a smaller bolt to the first one?

Don't worry.. it will /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif.. it will 'wick', due to capilary action..

Ideally, you would start with a stub.. however.. flush is still doable.. You put a nutright over the hole.. use one that only gives you access to the broken piece.. not the sourounding area... probably end up being a smaller nut than the bolt head was.. but should still work...and then be carefull about only welding the shank to the nut.. stick welder with a small 1/8 rod probably easiest way to do this... once it isn't red anymore, try it.

Re: TC18 60\" MMM

Soundguy explained it well(better than me).
If your FIL is a decent welder, this should be no problem.

Re: TC18 60\" MMM

that doesn't sound too bad. I might give that a try. After the previous problems I'm nervous about running with only 3 out of 4 bolts.
