I have an old Case580CK that I've, rebuilt, taken the loader & back on & off many times & many other assorted thing but never worked w/ the TC29. Your probably right, it may be too much but I see how far I can go & may be back on here for a few simple questions, hopefully.
Thanks
Jim

She said they have a 7308 still new & in the crate w/ everything included for $100 more. I'll be ordeing that one instead, thanks to you.

Thanks again
Jim

Jim, in a way I am truly disappointed that I was not wrong. The 14LA is a superior loader to the 7308. Even so, if you had the 14LA, it would have led to frustration and wasted money. So I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm happy that news was not as bad as it could have been. Good luck with your upcoming install.

I would not expect to pay more for a 7308 than a 14LA. I'd shop around a little more if I were you. At this point, they should be darn glad someone is looking for a 7308.

I have to say I have had a 7308 FEL on my 2000 TC -29D for 10 years now and it has done everything I ever wanted it to and more, in fact I have never had a problem with except one time when I bought the wrong Hyd. filter for it but with the right filter it was fine...So exactly what do you fellas not like about the 7308 Loader...? Hmmmm?

Well, he is getting all the components for a complete install for $3200 if my math is correct. I too think they are gouging him a bit, but that price may be hard to beat. I don't know that for sure since I have not priced one, of course.

Bob (brin): The 7308 has a lift capacity around 950 lb. The 14LA is about 1400 lb and has curved arms for added visibility. It's also easier to disconnect and attach. There is nothing wrong with the 7308, but the 14LA is the more desireable in my opinion.

One thing about the loader is that if it's in the correct orientation you don't have to lift it to attach it to the tractor, you just drive up to it, hook up the lines and load it like normal. All you would have to do is have the sub-frame attached to the tractor.

I must have called over 2 dozen used add's that had a loader on the TC & no one would split them to sell me just the loader & absolutely no one had the old 7308 loader sitting around, new & in a crate other than this place. The only new loader I could buy in this size is a new 240TL which my local Ohio dealer said was like $5000, not that it would fit my tractor anyway. The point is, I thought $3200 was a good deal since it was my only option. I didn't feel like welding one up from scratch (PF Enginnering plans). If I had a 2004 & up tractor & bought the 14LA for $3100 I would also be happy. I called my local dealer & they said it's a piece of cake to instal, just takes time so I'll let ya'll know how it turns out, like if I drop it on my foot or something. The reason the seller in calif said the 7803 was more than the 14LA was because they said the 7803 will fit the new tractors but the 14LA will not. They are stuck w/ these old 14LA loaders & no way to sell them w/ new tractors. Not sure what they're refering to or if they're right or not. This is Bechtold Equip in Calif I'm refering to, who I'm buying htis from. They are new & still in the original crates.
Thanks

I thought the curved arms were to make clearance for a supersteer.

Supersteer has been around longer than curved boom loaders. And SuperSteer tractors require a different model loader (and longer boom) than straight axle tractors.

Jim....
I see what you mean Jim...I like those curved arms and the 1400 lb. capacity would be great but with the very small front tires on the TC 29 I doubt the tractor could handle lifting that much in the FEL without flattening both front tires.. Why NH ever put such small front tires on a 29 hp tractor I will never know.
