TC30 - First Look

I attended the Farm Progress Show in Lafayette yesterday and had my first look at a TC30 tractor. It seems to be retro with a box look to it like a 1720. The manufacturer's rep said the tractor would go for around $10,000 - good competition for the JD 790/990.

Looks cheaper than the boomers - no frills, but good value for the HP and name.

At Empire Farm Days, I had talked to a couple New Holland reps. They indicated, the older 1520 was going to be rebadged to compete with the JD790 as a leader unit... perhaps that is the TC30?

We ordered our first one the other day with hydro 7308 loader the new holland list price is less than 15000.00. I think this will be a great deal for our customers looking for an economy tractor buy

The way NH explained to me was just rebadging the 1520 to compete on the leader level...{about a $10k intro price point} I've never seen a 1520 hydro, I thought they were only offered in gear transmissions... unless the new TC30 is completely different...

On the same token, NH engineers were there and said you could retrofit a mid-pto mount on the TC45 series as offered on the 35 and 40 series. They indicated it was labor intensive of about 15 man-hours to add the kit and perhaps not cost effective and really no demand in that hp range...

I'm wondering, has your dealership retrofitted any mid-mount PTO's on the TC45 units?

type of brakes? wet/dry
type of pto? trans/live/ind
weight?

also, was the 15k for 2wd or 4wd.

15000.00 was for 4x4 with loader, power steering, and yes does look similiar to the old 20 series tractors. will get the rest of the specs and post the major ones for you.

no we have not had a call for mid pto on the 45. so we have not done this, but i would imagine you have to split the tractor to do this so it would be labor intensive

this tractor is available in both gear and hydro the gear drive with loader 4x4 and power steering has a list price of about 1500.00 less than the hydro. so the 10000.00 that you where quoted for a gear drive would be correct because the loader list price is about 3600.00

i appreciate it...

i called the local NH dealer (Landmark Eq. in McKinney) and the man i talked to hadn't even heard of the TC30. he was going to call NH and find out about it.

If so, what was your impression? What will the pricing be?
