tc30..... good or bad???

There is no way, no how that that many TC 30 owners had a broken tractor and happened to post on the same forum. It is either an upset owner or a dealer.

Just a personal opinion on aftermarket loader specs vs. mfg. loader specs. Isn't it easier to sell an aftermarket loader by saying it lifts xxx lbs. more than the mfg. loader?

This is good guys. Lots of good info comming from Yall. Thanks. Let me pose this question. I like the idea of transfering the load to the rear axle so in doing this I need to look for Loader that will do this. Were can I find pics of the mounting of loaders for a tc30

The most likely place is the loader mfgr web site. While they might not have a picture of a TC30 with their loader installed, they'll certainly have a picture of the loader and a description of how it mounts to a tractor. If in doubt contact them.

Good! No question about it. I'm approaching 500 hours and four years with mine, and I have A Rhino loader, not NH. I cannot speak for any owner who has experienced problems, but I do not abuse my machine, nor do I expect it to do the job of a 50hp rig. It always does what I ask it to do, and I do work it hard ... I just stay within the machine's operational envelope.

The TC 30 is well designed, well made, and will give you years of reliable service.

But if you need a bigger machine, get one.

I agree. The TC-30 is a basic machine but has been out for many years and has proven to be very reliable.

As far as the loader ratings.

Don't forget that all the different loaders are not rated the same way in exactly the same manner. Capacity measured a few inches ether way has a huge difference. The closer the measurement to the tractor the higher the numbers. Compare breakout at pins and max height at pins. Then compare both at a specific measurement out from the pins. Also, the stated rating with a bucket attached, a fork attachment or no attachment makes a huge difference in the stated measurement. So don't make quick assesments with the advertised numbers. Its a simple mistake folks make.

Once you think you have a comparison thats close to "apples to apples" don't necessarly look for the one with the highest rating (as was stated earlier). Don't under or over size your loader or you will be in trouble. Most large reputable loader mfg have already checked into the tractor size vs. what they recommend (as also stated earlier).

The quality of the design and type of mount should be of your highest concern.

Hope this helps as I know its a lot of cash to put out:)

I would say good, but I guess I am bais I have a TC 30 9x3 Manual/7308 Loader and love it. I did a lot of research in the summer of 2006. I bought a new TC 30 in December 2006. I like the Manual better than the Hydro for my use and find it real easy to use. It will suprise you how much dirt you can pull with a 6 foot angled road blade. I have a lot of seat time on a 5320 JD 50hp 4WD so I know what a full size tractor can do. There is no comparision in loader strength. But as far as pulling up a new road with my blade it is amazing what it can do. I am not scared to work mine but if I have some real heavy work to do, I either borrow the 5320 or Hire a bull dozer. The TC 30 is great for maintaing my different property's and is a easy tow behind a 1/2 ton pickup. It will work circles around the larger JD in tight areas. For the money you can't beat it. $14,600.00 I have already put 113 hours on it.

You guys have no idea how true this statement is!!! We deal with this everyday, it is extremely difficult to compare "apples to apples" in the loader market. The most common example we see is when the breakout force is advertised instead of the working capacity of the loader. Other include: lift capacity measured at 59" from the ground instead of full height or measurements closer to the tractor (at pins) without an attachment...

We suggest not to get confused with the numbers game, but really take a look at the construction, fit, features like quick attach or easy grease pins, and how the loader is mounted and dismounted from the tractor.

I've attached some photos of a Rear Axle Kit, I had to look quite awhile for an example on a NH tractor, this tells me they have very well built frames.

I don't think I would worry about a rear axle kit on a TC 30 or any NewHolland that did not come with one for the factory Loader. Without an engineering back ground on NH equipment how would you know you are helping or hurting a already good design. You could install braces alot of places but you may create other problems and transfer stress where it was not designed. I am not a expert at all but I would do a lot of research before I bought a aftermarket Loader that mounted a whole lot different than the Factory. Also after searching I cannot find any other Broke TC 30's besides the ones on Compact Tractor Review and I belive this is one complaint posted many times and with a BH which could add a lot of stress if used incorrectly. Remember Thousands of these have been sold over the last ten years.
