TC30 History

   / TC30 History #21
Well, I've had my TC30 hydro for about a week now. I've used it to grade the road, rake some gravel, strip some sod, pull my lawn roller, and I've moved some plenty-big rocks with the FEL. Could'nt be happier with this machine. I really wondered if I would be sorry I did'nt get the Boomer (TC33D), but I am perfectly pleased with this machine and delighted that I saved about $3k over the Boomer. It has all the same capability as the Boomer without the Bells-and Whistles. To clarify, heres what the Boomer has that the TC30 does not: Deluxe seat, folding rops, cruise control, high styling, swinging drawbar, tilt wheel.

Ok, heres the showroom pic again.

Ok, no more reruns. /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif I've just started to put the machine to good use the last few days and sure enough, the weather has turned sour. It was 32 degrees here today in lower Michigan and we had a minor ice accummulation. As soon as I get a sunny day, I'll take some pictures of the new machine.

Also, I took the wife for a ride through the woods on the new machine yesterday. She sat on the sheet-metal fender. We traveled about a half-mile over bumpy trails. The fender (and wife) survived the trip with no damage. I wonder if a plastic or fiberglass fender could survive this treatment?

I was going to include the wife's weight for technical purposes, but was vetoed.

Daryl, was'nt too long ago that no one had heard of the TC30. Now, us TC30 owners are gaining in strength everyday.

What options did you get on yours? Tires, trans, loader, mower, blade. ?????

Congratulations on your new addition. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif You'll need to fill in your bio now.

If you've been following this thread, you know I'm looking at the TC30 also. What did you get with yours? How much did your total package come to? Make sure to take some pictures and post them once you get it! /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Started with basics. tractor with 9x3 trans. and 5 ft finish mower. Traded in 1957 801. Hated to part with it but no pwer steering was killing me. Have bush hog, disc and plows with old tractor.Plan on using them with new tractor.
Hope I got a good deal. Tractor 10,900 and finish mower New holland- 1,935.(that was before trade in) Oh yes ag tires.

First off, congrats on the new TC30! Sure looks nice, even in reruns (but I'm not asking for more reruns /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif)!

The plastic fenders on the Boomers have suprised me at how strong and resilent they are. When my Boomer was first delivered I was concerned that in a few years the fenders may be cracked and all beat to shreds. Almost been two years now and they have been sat on and have had substantial loads dropped on them without any damage (beyond scraping the shiny surface).

Just a few weeks ago I was taking the 3pt snow blower off and forgot to set the front stabalizer leg before removing the top link. I noticed that the pin in the top link was a little stiff coming out but a good yank quickly removed it. Then I watched in horror as the 869lb snow blower pitched forward toward the tractor. I stepped back out of the way thinking that I was about to witness something that I did not want to witness. Then noticed that the handle that controls the chute deflection was the most protruding part of the snow blower and was going to hit the left fender. Images of plastic shattering and having a wounded tractor were all too real. It was amazing! The fender just bowed in and then bounced back. The fender has a bad scratch/scrape but that's it! Don't worry about those fenders. They seem capable of takin' a lickin' and keepin' a tickin' /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

update: my problem with my turnbuckles is gone, they had put on the wrong 3point arms.
their was no way I could adjust the arms that came with my tractor. first off im new to this tractor thing so I just thought it was me doing something wrong. anyway the only way to keep my 3pt arms from rubbing into my tires was too have those buckles fully extended causing them to bend.
So the dealear drove out after work(30miles) too meet me at my property first thing we did was switch out arms. they were the same length, mounting holes were just differnt problem solved.
