Now have some time with it. Lack of cup holder does not bother me at all. Never had one. BUT I used to put the mail and the newspapers behind the seat when I passed by the mailbox. like when plowing. But with the new machine they will slide right out the back. I sat on them this morning(was not plowing) I will figuire something out. But for good stuff, the arms of the loader are 4 inches closer together. This allow the pick up point on the QA to be visable when engaging by looking down the side of the machine. I used to have to stand up to see. But we all know we cannot stand up and move at the same time with these puppies. The other thing I noticed, which is both good and bad, is that the curved arms allow the bucket to curl back further. this is great for transport, carry more , lose less. BUT at the top of the lift , if you leave it at full curl back you will die from a rock fall. So don't raise it all the way with full curl. Rear PTO engage is a little stiff like won't engage sometime but I will give that a liitle time.
All in all still 200%.

How do I move this thread to owning and operating? Seems like thats where it should be now. Or should I start a new one?

6sunset6,

My TC34DA is the same way --might be a HST thing -try moving the loader to release some pressure

Now I have a little more time on the machine. The new QA lets me throw the locking levers from one side. For 7 years on my 1320 I had to walk around to the other side. I have a tendency to forget to release the brake. It lets you know cause it won't move and the relief valve starts screaming.
I was thinking with all the bells and whistles it could beep if you turned the key on. put it in gear let out the clutch and still had the brake on . But then it would beep on shut down when it was ok. Oh well. The last thing I have to say is(and it's pretty obvious) It uses a WHOLE LOT MORE fuel than the 1320.

I was just thinking about that today. But I only have 12 A and I have a real BH front loader already . It's almost all woods maple and oak no lawn.
Hard to see why I need a second tractor. Especially now that I have PAT conn on the new one. If I had to mow 4-5 acres I could see it. I just put the 1320 down at the end of the driveway with a For Sale sign. Fair number of calls but no one that knows anything about tractors. Pretty funny questions. Price seems to put everyone off really fast. But I will wait a while before I think about less.

Congrats on your new TC34DA! I love mine! With the exception on the current starting problem (crazy safety switches  )... I'll get it figured out soon! It's a great tractor has good power and the size is perfect, for me at least. I'm sure it'll do well for you too. My PTO lever is sort of stiff too. I've heard others say that there is a spring you can change... Or, maybe just give it time. Mine still works fine, 102hrs., you just have to give it a little bump to engage. Looks like you'll be able to put it too work nicely... great pics and peice of land you got there! Good woods for paint ballin! :)

Max

P.S., nice to see others with the 34... 34'ers unite! :)

Just wanted to give my opinion on my new TC34DA.
Great little tractor,The only 2 complaints is that beeping sound when you dont put the break on. And that pain in the ***** pto lever..
Other than that, cant complain.
I do have a couple of issues though,But its going in for warrantee work in a .
week.
One, the pto lever will sometimes disengage.
Two, The thermostart starting aid will stay luminated on the instument pannel.
Take it easy fellas

I miss not being able to stand up in the operator's platform like I could with my Ford 1100, but it is safer and my "29" is higher so I could see over most of the vegetation I had to rotary cut last year. I agree with you regarding those curved arms and a full curl back at full height extension doing some damage. The first winter I used the FEL to pile up some snow I ended up dropping some on me  which resulted in the purchase of the FOP roof. I am a little more cautious with FEL height now regardless of what type of material I am moving. Jay

I have tried to figuire out if I paid a fair price for my TC34DA, Noting the comments that prices in the NE are high. So I went to a dealer I liked and I though the price was fair but I still get upset with some of the posts I see here that indicate I overpaid by 8k . However I figuired if prices are high for new in the NE they ought to be high for used. Put my 1320 on the national net, nothing. Put it on a NY consignment web site (owe them $80 if I sell it befor 10/4) nothing. put it on craigs list nothing. Figuired I was asking too much. 10.5k FEL and LP60 Finish mower and some extra hydraulics. Put it at the end of my driveway. LOL phone starting ringing of the wall. Sold it in 3 days 9k. So my new one cost 13k. Works for me. Can't wait for the next upgrade. Maybe I won't wait 11 years. Of course I don't have the $$ yet. Tomorrow . Did not take a deposit, shook his hand, gave him the for sale sign and told him I would put it in the barn for 10 days. He said tomorrow bank check or cash ,which did I want. WOOO WOOOO.
