The "ergonomics" are great on a NH. I tried Orange, and the only thing that stopped me was "ergonomics".

Exactly the same experience I had, only I ended with a Case DX - same tractor in Red. The ergonomics on the Case/New Hollands are still the best IMHO.

Did they start putting SuperSteer on the Case yet?

The Case is close but without SuperSteer and SensiTrak it isn't the real McCoy. That's exactly why we stuck with New Holland.

Talked with a landscaper in my area just today that was seeding the towpath trail and they were using a TC-40D with SuperSteer and had a Harley Power Rake connected to the PTO. When I asked him he said he wouldn't be without SuperSteer in his business.

SS is very nice! I am lucky with 15 acres, so plenty of room to move around. If I worked in a smaller area, or did a lot of loader work I would insist upon SS.

Doesn't NH offer SS in it's bigger tractors too?

Several forum members are big on supersteer. Since I am doing mostly bushhoggin and FEL work the dealer kinda talked me out of getting it. I had it on my TC33D and really liked it,but I thought that it might be unnecessary this time around. What's your opinion?

I wouldn't be without if for two reasons. SensiTrak which pulls 4WD in whenever it's needed. There's no need to worry whether or not 4WD is actually needed and no worry as when to disengage 4WD since it's all done automatically for you.

And with SuperSteer I've found that I can get into and out of some otherwise inaccessible areas. I really like it when unloading trucks with the pallet forks or for finish mowing on the lot. With SuperSteer the tractor acts more like a sports car than the hulk that it really is. IMHO the extra investment was well worth the return and as a wise man once told me a bargain isn't such a bargain if you end up with something that you don't want. That didn't happen here, I'm a happy camper. :)

Thanks for your complements prairegrass! My wife has always kidded me about all the time that I spend with research before I spend the $$$$, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Not yet to my knowledge. CNH may be using that feature to distinguish between the Case and NH. I think Case is also discontinuing the sub compacts which will further separate the offerings of the two brands.
