Re: tell me about \"I-match\"

Oddly, the newest pics from JD show the same part number in a different finish. The black oxide finish did bother me a bit. I smeared some grease on them and so far so good.

Hopefully this pic is hyperlinkable...

This finish is much more desirable and similar to what you probably have, Mike. I wonder if JD changed it up a bit?

At least 2. Actually, I think there are 3.
The term "bushing" is a bit loose here.

My 665 tiller has a captured pin setup and not compatible with the "bushings" I posted pics of. Since the pins are too small for I-match, they need to be sleeved up a size (or two?)... a true bushing application.
But for pins that attach to the implement on only one side, the part I posted pics of works better, in my opinion, than bushings you would use on a captured pin setup. This is because you need something to hold the bushing on the pin. This something, I think called a snap ring, is hanging out there just asking to get mangled. And mangle I did. So I looked for a better solution.

So there are the true bushings (short tubes that convert from cat 1 to cat 2, or cat 2 to cat 3, etc) and there are the shouldered pin gizmos I posted pics of. I guess they are bushings... but bushings typically don't have pins going through them and a big shoulder on one side...
