Temperature Check

Last Wednesday night I was working outside in Henderson TX, it was 26 degrees when I finished. By the time I arrived home, (just North of Ft. worth 25 miles) it was 14 degrees.

Yesterday my brother and I went golfing, it was 74..

I prefer the cold over heat, 85 + and I slow down, been that way all my life. My kids are the same way and prefer the house at 67 degrees or so.

My wife is a typical girl who freezes so she has the infamous comforter on the bed that's like 6 inches thick when folded.

The radio guy this morning said that Edmonton was the coldest city on the planet yesterday. Good thing I live over here in Saskatchewan where it didn't get that cold.

Something tells me that after -10 it really doesn't matter..

Of coarse some people say " but it's a dry cold" Which may apply to the lower Rockies, but..........just say'n..

Your exactly right. I like cold weather for about 2 days a year.

Yesterday we took the kids to buy a Christmas tree. I wore Blue Jeans and a short sleeve shirt. Got on a short sleeve at work today.

I like my low's to be in the 50's and my highs to be in the 80's or low 90's. I'd rather sweat than freeze to death any day.

We did get snow on Dec. 5. About 1" that was great though, it was Abby's birthday. She turned 7 and had a sleepover. Her and two other 7 year old girls throwing snow balls at me. .

It’s been below zero F quite a few times in the last month with the coldest at -21.4 F (not wind chill). The coldest days are in January and February but last year we had plowable snow fall on the 15th of June. I’m in an area known for cold temps in the San Juan Range of the Rocky Mtns up at 8,000' right along the border of South Central Colorado and North Central New Mexico.

I am about 2 hours North of Edmonton where it was so cold yesterday, we were not that cold, -37 and -30 for a high. The coldest ambient that I've experienced was a few years ago, -51. On the positive side, the mosquitos are'nt too bad.

Now that was funny!!!!

Of course, it was 65 today, and I was in shorts and a T shirt. My biggest issue was that the bees showed up. I'll never understand this, but for the last couple weeks, nothing. Today, I had to spray myself down with bug spray to keep them away.

That's what I say about city people. I'm sure glad they enjoy living congested. My little piece of heaven would be crowded if they didn't!!! My county has 8000 population. I have a neighbor 1/4 mile away and the next ones are 1 mile away. That's plenty crowded for me.
