I just want to say thanks for all you have contributed to this forum in regard to the detailed information you shared in the build of your TD. Your pictures were top notch as well. I'm sorry to hear that. I was expecting to have many questions as we are rushing to beat the cold weather. Working on putting in the drain tile and prepping for waterproofing. Just got the sand compacted in so the plumber and electrician can really get to work. So much to get done. Hope the rest of you will stay tuned.

I couldn't sleep tonight and I found this thread on building a earth shelterd Terra Dome home. It was very interesting because this is what I have been wanting build, but after seeing how much work that is actually involved and the troubles with water leaking into the structure I have since changed my mind. I could see how the cost to build would be very hard to estimate and how one could get over budget easly. Plus the time to build, this house started in June 2009 and is till not finished over 2 years later. I would not be any faster because I would have to do it the way Sam did.

This is a great house but I realize it wouldn't be for me.
