Brandi, you need to buy a lotto ticket while the luck is good:laughing:

We have got maybe 1/4" so far today, but I can see much of central to south Texas is getting much needed moisture.

Our weatherman said last night that we are (so far) at 8th place for wettest winter in N Texas. which is strange coming out of the driest year in Texas history. They report an estimated tree death state wide at around 5 - 5.6 million!!

Dennis,
We are saturated. The hatches are battened down.;) So much for the "dry" forecast. Now that second pond has to wait.

We were suppose to leave for Angleton tomorrow a.m. at 5 but they're predicting up to 5" with flash flood warnings ....so...sleeping in.

It has been raining since early Friday morning. Flooding on some of the roads around Kerrville in the evening. Rained hard all night. Looks good for raising some of the lake levels. Saw on SA news that many on the lakes are down over 50'. Going to take a lot of rain to bring them up to normal heights.

And so far, we've gotten about a quarter inch, but the radar looks like we should be in for a lot more today.:D

Bird, I got .3" last night and don't know how much more I'll get. I'm on the northwest edge of what they showed to be light rain. At least I have terraces built and am catching this runoff in my new pond that's slowly rising. I have another 6" of clay to put on my pond dam and then I'll top it out with with topsoil and gravel for the road across. The way the light rains come close together, it makes it hard for me to do any work on the ponds due to slipping, sliding, and rutting the tractor wheels do. Even so, for a February, I'm getting a tremendous amount done.

Mike: It sure seems like you folks in Bastrop are livin' on the edge of extremes. From what the weather forecast sounded like last night, you're making a wise decision to postpone your trip.

Good steady rain here most of the morning. A couple of lakes i like to fish are at normal level finally, but the one closest to me (Bridgeport) is still 8-9' low. Hopefully with the ground saturated we get some decent runoff.

Stormed all night here. A good size limb fell on the roof and work me up right at 5 this morning. Power was out then and we got it back online around 3 this afternoon. Another inch of rain today and an inch yesterday.
It is now raining...........again.

Rain started last night and I woke up to 1 1/2 inches in my rain gauge. My brother is an hour away and he has 2 inches. With light sprinkling and some heavy rain, I have another half inch at dark. Radar looks like I'm going to get some more!!!
