We vote on paper ballots which are immediately scanned and then stored .. in case a recount is required.

Hey Kyle--yes we live 7 miles west of Bastrop and 5 miles from Cedar Creek. And too dang close to Austin! :)
Two Bit--we did the electronic thing and then pressed a button and the machine spit out a printed ballot that we put in a steel box like always. That's why I was wondering if the ballot was (or will be) counted manually or electronically.

That's getting pretty "too dang close" for me. :)

We vote on paper ballots which are immediately scanned and then stored .. in case a recount is required.

Ours do the same.

I early voted couple weeks ago but no paper involved. We use the eraser on a pencil to touch the screen. I've never seen a paper ballot.

Hi Texans..........Up here in a semi-rural area, I voted at the usual place (an old Methodist Church hall), not a long line like city folks, very efficient cheerful people doing the work. We had the electronic machines, with each person receiving a ball point pen with a rubber on one tip to hit the selections. Our machines then print a paper ballot result that is then scanned into another machine. We do present our driver license that is scanned, restate our DOB..address and signature. Everything seemed fair and square...........................even though I didn't like some of the results.

Cheers To Y'All,
Mike

Hope everything goes well and you get to do everything you have planned. I keep getting these lyrics stuck in my head when I think about things like this.

I'm in a hurry to get things done
Oh I rush and rush until life's no fun
All I really gotta do is live and die
But I'm in a hurry and don't know why.

.

My favorite band.

One guy here in Texas went to vote in person, they told him he had been sent a mail in ballot and did not allow him to vote. He asked "WHO DID I VOTE FOR?"

I don't know our totals but I don't remember the last time we had rain. I put ryegrass out a month ago and oats last weekend. Thinking bout running sprinkler in the St Augustine in front yard. We need some rain.

west Texas popcorn fart.

I watered the blueberry shrubs, peach tree, and tomatoes. Yes, tomatoes have a bunch of green 2" diameter fruit, waiting to harvest....if it doesn't freeze first.

Still no rain. Going through the round bales like crazy. Pasture looks like Walmart parking lot. :(

We got a third of an inch on Sunday - first that was not just a sprinkle in about two months. Grass started greening up in an hour where the cows weren't but the pastures still look bad. The weather trolls are calling for good ran over the next week (about 2") but I will believe it when I see it. LaNina years are normally dry as **** here. Our big tank is down about 5 and a half feet and has been dropping since last winter - usually we get at least some tropical weather to fill it every year but not in 2020. Go figure something else would go to crap.

Yippee! We got 1.25 inches this morning. Friday and Saturday is forecast up to 3.6 inches. Bring it on.
Happy Thanksgiving hugs, Brandi
