Texas Fall/Winter thread!

We started looking at Gurney's and Burpees and their prices. They are not cheap. First vegetable we looked at, it was just 15 seeds for $3.95. Highest price at Lowes was $2.95. Then you gotta pay shipping. That is what drove us to drive around town looking for seeds.
I did get the Fordhook Lima beans from Gurney's.

I've gotten seeds & plants from both Burpees and Lowes. The results in better germination and plant survival from Burpees is well worth the extra cost compared to the "cheap" prices from Lowes.

Yes and No. Any seed planting can be successful or dissappointing. Only time will tell. If you really want to get into this, you need to research the company name on the seed packet.

7/8" of rain here last night and some STRONG winds! On my way to work this AM I saw several trees lost large branches. No damage here luckily.
