jinman; Sorry to hear of your choice of "vacation" site, this week! Glad to hear that you are on the mend!

I mowed the lawn this morning. Been hoeing in the garden, and came in to grab a bite of lunch, and to move some laundry around.

It sure doesn't feel very warm ourdoors, at 55* with the damp feel to the air!

I mowed the lawn this morning.

So did I, and it was so wet that it clogged the chute for the bagger. So I had to just mow it, rake up a little of the clippings, and wash the mower and the bagger parts.

I never bag it! I'd spend all of my time emptying the bagger, and not getting the mowing done!

I had that same problem when I was using a walk behind mower, but my little Toro ZTR has much bigger bags, so it's not too bad when the grass is dry. I don't bag mine every time, but when it's too tall, or there's too many leaves, then I use the bagger.

I don't bag with the JD 1050 either! :D

I have so many leaves I bought a trail behind vacuum trailer -- works pretty good but can't get too close to any structure - connecting hose sticks out too far. Does what I wanted it to do though. Have a second mower, inherited from MIL when she passed, that we use for close up.

I'll try to do better in the future. I promise you I am not trying to copy-cat your actions. It's just that anything that sets off my sinuses will drain to my lungs and get the infection going that leads to pneumonia. It's just what happens as things progress. I have to stop it immediately or it runs its course to full-blown pneumonia. My nurse practioner is very good and will help me immediately if I get a quick appointment with her. She is terrific. A quick dose of antibiotics and steroids will get me back in the groove in a hurry.

Hey Jim! Take your meds and get better soon. I spend a lot of time in SE Asia and 2/3 of the people there wear masks 3/4 of the time.

Breathing is one of the important ant things you need to do on a regular basis. ;-)

It's rained here off and on all morning. In fact, I heard thunder about 10 minutes past 4 a.m. this morning, and it's raining now. But we hope it continues, since I've only gotten a total of about two-thirds of an inch so far. Sure glad I got the yard mowed yesterday.

Only .03" here so far, but any is really great. The rain continues, so maybe more befpre it's finished. I'm sure glad we don't have Duck Commander 500 tickets. That's gonna be one wet race if they run it at all today. We watched Gravity last night. It was sure dramatic, but a great performance by Sandra Bullock.

You are right, Rick. I should just be glad to have a mask and wear it in all dusty/pollen environments.:)

When the rain finally showed up, and it was good. Sunday morning about 0100 the front came thru lots of thunder and lightning an a good amt. of rain. Then is started again a little before 0900 and rain till about 1400........2.5 inches. It'll be a week before I can get back in the garden, I have all of my tomatoes in and they seem to have survived pretty well.
