A 1st for me. Coming in this morning at 2am from a week in Houston, I get to Corsicana and the difference in humidity was outrageous! When I watched the evening news in Houston yesterday the humidity was a pleasant 36%. i had to turn on the AC it was so noticeable.
Usually when I go to Houston, I can anticipate heavy humidity that is oppressive to say the least, this time Houston was probably the most pleasant i have ever seen.

March and April and even some of May is very pleasant in Houston, even downtown.

Since I work nights that would probably be true, during the day though, I dont want to be anywhere around Houston no matter how nice the "weather" is. Just to many people.

Yesterday I started doing a repair on my compact tractor early in the morning (That's 9:00 AM since I retired.) because it is so much cooler. I got the repair done and then started working on my loader-backhoe putting rip-rap around two culverts I just installed. After a bit of work on that, I hauled clay for my dam until about 3:30 PM and it seemed to be oppressively hot. I came inside and found out that it was 93F outside. That's too darn hot for April. I called it quits and headed for the shower. Ain't being retired great?

I agree. Yesterday, I got out all my soaker hoses and laid them all the way around the house; got everything hooked up to start that kind of watering.

I also have been dragging out the hoses, been so windy, the ground is drying out quick. If I had any brains, I would mulch the whole yard and call it a BIG flower pot and be done with it.
